Marianne and Michael Hartl think about the time after death. He wants to donate his remains of science.
For many people, this would be a horror idea, not so for folk music star Michael Hartl (76). The Austrian announced in one that he would like to donate his body to science after his death. “I will provide him with young doctors during your studies so that you can learn more precisely,” said the star of Duos Marianne and Michael. He essentially considers medical progress that students could research real bodies.
That’s why the young doctors could “snip around as they want,” explains the musician: “Then I’m dead and I don’t notice anything anymore.” Afterwards, when all the important knowledge had been gained, he wanted his ash to be scattered together with his wife Marianne Hartl (72). His wife supports his plans: “This is a good decision.” She herself regrets that she once did not agree with her father that his dead body was researched by medical professionals: “That was a mistake.”
Marianne Hartl knows exactly where her ashes should be scattered
The 72-year-old has also thought about what should happen to her remains after death. In the identical interview with the “Bild” newspaper, she said that one day her ashes over the Wild Emperor in Tyrol “should be scattered forever and forever”. You couldn’t imagine anything better.
Probably also to the satisfaction of her husband: “We spend almost half a century in our holiday home in Fieberbrunn and focus every day at the view of the wild emperor. In all situations and moods,” said Marianne Hartl. The Mountains of the Kaiser Mountains give them “so much strength”. They had already photographed him millions of times and he fascinates both again and again.
