With her debut album, Tracy Chapman became world famous, now there is a new Vinyl. Does the musician also plan new albums or concerts? And what about breakfast with her?
The US singer Tracy Chapman also does not want to publish new music or give concerts around 15 years after her last album. “I’m still taking a break,” said 61-year-old Chapman of the German Press Agency. “I have no plans to go on tour and I have no plans to go to the studio. Who knows what will happen, but now there are no plans.”
However, they continue to make music privately. “I never stopped writing or playing or practicing. I do that regularly, just not publicly. The music will always be part of my life, I just love it passionately.” That was like that as a child.
“My mother is a really good singer and my sister has a great voice,” said Chapman. In addition, she also grew up to a library where she spent a lot of time and worked on poems.
When Grammy appearance with Combs “emotionally overwhelmed”
Chapman published her last album in 2008. In 2009 she was on tour for the last time. Since then she has officially taken a break. “One of the things I wanted to take during my break was to find a place for breakfast where I can come in the door and know the people there what I will order. And I did that.”
The musician, born in Cleveland in Cleveland in Cleveland in 1988, became world famous with her debut album “Tracy Chapman” in 1988. She has just released a new edition on record of this.
One of the biggest hits on the album-“Fast Car”-Country musician Luke Combs helped again some time ago with a cover version, which led to a much-noticed Grammy appearance of Combs and Chapman last year. She was “emotionally overwhelmed,” said Chapman. Even weeks after, tears came to her eyes while thinking about it.
