“I miss you so much”: With an emotional post, John Travolta is reminiscent of his son, who died at the age of 16.
John Travolta (71) is reminiscent of his late son. The actor shared for Jett, who would have celebrated his 33rd birthday at the weekend. Travolta posted a photo of himself on which he holds the little jett in his arms while the boy plays with his ears. “Happy Birthday, Jett – I miss you so much,” wrote Travolta on the platform on which he has over five million followers. “I love you forever!” He added.
“The worst thing that has ever happened to me in life”
The Hollywood star received three children with his late wife, actress Kelly Preston (1962-2020): Jett, daughter Ella Bleu (25) and son Benjamin (14). Jett died in 2009 at the age of 16 during a vacation with his family on the Bahamas of the consequences of a seizure.
The “Pulp Fiction” star later described how difficult it was to heal after the death of his son. John Travolta gave the experience at a appearance in London “the worst thing that has ever happened to me in life” ,. “The truth is that I didn’t know if I would make it,” he said at the time. “Life was no longer interesting for me, so I needed a lot to recover.”
Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston died of cancer
A few years later, the family had to cope with another stroke of fate. Kelly Preston, with whom John Travolta was married from 1991, died in 2020 at the age of 57 after a diagnosis of breast cancer. The actor on social media also reminds you again and again. On the last Mother’s Day, he divided a touching message to his late wife. On Instagram he posted photos of Kelly Preston with the three children together. “We love you, we miss you,” he added.
