Juan Campodónico and Zeballos present their single “La Distance”

The renowned Uruguayan artist and producer Juan Campodónico The path of showing part of a personal creative process that intends to culminate in an album continues, the first one you will edit under your name. In this context it arrives “Distance”third advance of this new stage of Campodónico.

In the words of Campodónico, “The distance” is a hip hop ballad that mixes the contemporary urban pulse with string arrangements and rap with melodic developments. “The guitars and synthesizers create an ethereal and mysterious climate that combines with the beat rested on the subject. The distance of the title can be real or metaphorical, emotional or geographical and that supposed remoteness influences different ways according to the points of view,” he describes.

The song is also a generational encounter between Zeballos, a very young artist and already a main figure of the new Uruguayan hip hop and Juan, who has a long musical career that has covered several artistic worlds, including Hip Hop since the beginning with Peyote Killer. This new single comes as a new step towards the artist’s next album, scheduled to premiere this year. “The distance” completes a triad that started with the track “Frik”launched last year with Mexican Jósean Log as a hymn to diversity that also had an acoustic version. The next premiere was “From one glow to another”based on a poem by the Uruguayan poet and translator Ida Vitale and sung entirely by Juan Campodónico.
