Serkan Yavuz cheated on his wife – and makes capital out of it

This was last shown at the scandal around Serkan Yavuz. For some time now, however, the 31-year-old has not been in focus because of a format, but because his marriage to TV colleague Samira Yavuz failed. The influencer made no secret of what led to marriage. She indicated a breach of trust. It quickly became clear that her husband had an affair. The situation escalated last weekend when another reality TV actress suddenly interfered. Eva Benetatou, also known from formats such as “The Bachelor” and “The Summer House of the Stars”, revealed that she and Yavuz had had something together. In her statement on Instagram, she called it a “moment of weakness” on her birthday last year.

Even with Samira Yavuz – who was very pregnant at the time – Eva Benetatou apologized in her posting. For her confession, however, she received no sympathy, but a veritable shitstorm. Other reality TV stars also interfered. Yeliz Koc asked her to compete against her during the boxing match. After a proper pinch of headwind, Benetatou spoke up again on Instagram. In a video she made fun of her colleagues’ reactions, which in turn made Samira Yavuz a reaction.

“I’m so shocked. I really can’t believe that this video exists,” scolded the cheated person in her Instagram story. “If your remorse were real, your answer would have been silent – not fulfilling,” she said. Again, others wondered why Serkan Yavuz was spared from the shitstorm? After all, was it who was in a relationship and was strange? Yavuz, who had withdrawn in the past few weeks, reacted with an announcement. He would publish a detailed statement, according to the influencer.

He was apparently aware that this would be expected with a lot of tension from his fans. And so Yavuz quickly put his apology video behind a paywall. His fans should pay 1.19 euros if they wanted to see it. A decision that resulted in the next shitstorm. “I appeal to common sense: do not buy this video and do not reward these guys for his actions,” said TV colleague Laura Blond. “The campaign may open their eyes to understand who is really fault here – and also wants to collect money,” wrote a user on Instagram.

The debate about Yavuz ‘affair shows how quickly such a scandal on social media gains on a journey. And like other reality TV actors, try to swim on the wave of attention.
