Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr. have been married for 23 years. The actress is now revealing the recipe for success of her love.
Sarah Michelle Gellar (48) revealed the secret of her marriage. In 2002 the actress married her colleague Freddie Prince Jr. (49), whom she had met in 1997 on the set of “I know what you did last summer”. Since then, the two film stars have been happy and scandal -free.
When asked about the secret of her 23-year-old marriage, Gellar now reveals: “Separate bathrooms.” Both the audience and the host Jenna Bush Hager (43) show themselves astonished. “It’s all? That is that easy?” Asks the 43-year-old, whereupon Gellar confirms: “It’s that simple.”
Privacy is important to the couple
After Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr. during filming the Slasher hit “I know what you did last summer”, they were only friends for two years, as the 49-year-old revealed last year. By chance there was a date – after that the actor knew that Gellar was the right one for him. Married in 2002 was quiet and secretly in Mexico.
But not only the marriage was quiet. Even after the wedding, it was mostly quiet around the couple – and until today. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr., who have two children together, keep their private life out of the public for the benefit of their relationship, as the “Scooby-Doo” star emphasized.
The couple did not find it difficult, as he explained to the hosts Brian Austin Green (51) and Randy Spelling (46): “You can control it up to a certain degree. We have our restaurants that we like, and they are not super trendy in places where Paparazzi are. So we are good at avoiding them.” Common appearances at events are also a rarity.
