The Swedish king Carl Gustaf celebrates his birthday this Wednesday. In his honorary day, granddaughter Ines celebrated Balcony premiere.
Carl XVI. Gustaf celebrates his 79th birthday on April 30th. For this, the Royals set up to honor the monarch this Wednesday. However, the show stole his youngest granddaughter.
The king with his children, Crown Princess Victoria (47) and Prince Carl Philip (45) attended the traditional birthday parade in the courtyard of Stockholm Castle. All three wore uniforms. After a performance of the military chapel and salute shots, children were allowed to give the king’s greetings for their birthday. And the remaining Royal fans could at least celebrate it from afar. Afterwards, the members of the royal family showed themselves on the balcony.
In addition to Carl Gustaf’s wife Queen Silvia (81) and daughter Crown Princess Victoria, her husband Prince Daniel (51) as well as the common children Princess Estelle (13) and Prince Oscar (9) were present. Victoria’s sister Princess Madeleine (42), her husband Chris O’Neill (50) and the three children Princess Leonore (11), Prince Nicolas (9) and Princess Adrienne (6) also showed themselves on the balcony. Prince Carl Philip and his family received special attention.
Baby Ines on the balcony
Wife Princess Sofia (39) not only had the sons Prince Alexander (9) and Prince Gabriel (7) at her back when she returned from the baby break, but also brought daughter Ines. The baby wore her in her arms and shielded it with a hat and a cloth. She is the fourth child of the royal couple and the only daughter. It came to the world on February 7, 2025 in the Danderyds Hospital. Only the third son of the two, Prince Julian (4), apparently lacked the balcony on Wednesday.
Ines will be baptized on June 13, 2025. For the Swedish Royal couple, this day is twice significant – it is also his tenth wedding day. On June 13, 2015, Carl Philip, the younger brother of Crown Princess Victoria, married his Sofia.
