Make-up eraser instead of cotton pad: reusable alternative

Make-up eraser instead of cotton pad: reusable alternative

Every year, millions of disposable cotton pads made from conventional cotton (including the plastic packaging) end up in the trash. There have long been environmentally friendly make-up remover alternatives, such as the make-up eraser.

Commercial facial cleansers contain chemical ingredients that reliably remove even waterproof make-up from the face and décolleté. However, make-up removers in plastic bottles are at least as harmful to the environment as cotton pads used to apply lotions or facial tonics. So why spend a lot of money on expensive cosmetics when there are also skin-friendly alternatives to removing make-up – which also produce significantly less (plastic) waste and are completely free of chemicals? The make-up eraser, for example, cleans deep into the pores and can be used again and again. And that is just one of many advantages.

Overview: How the makeup eraser works

The make-up eraser is available in three different versions: as , or . But regardless of which variant you choose – the functions are always the same:

  • The erasers contain microscopic X-fibers to remove dead skin cells and impurities, excess oil and make-up residue from the face and décolleté.
  • The X-fibers have been rounded off in such a way that they can penetrate deep into the pores and thus ensure a clear and pure complexion (without residues).
  • In order to avoid skin irritation, the make-up erasers have not only been dermatologically tested (and found to be good), but also approved by the TÜV.
  • Each make-up eraser has micropore technology: a short-pile side for intensive cleaning of the skin and a long-pile side for gentle exfoliation of the skin.

Make-up eraser: tips for use

Before use, the make-up eraser must be held under running water and wrung out to moisten it and clean your face with it. While the short-pile side is used to remove make-up, the long-pile side acts like a kind of peeling to cleanse the skin down to the pores. Do not apply too much pressure during the treatment, as the make-up eraser effectively cleanses the skin with just a gentle application. If waterproof mascara is difficult to remove, it is also important to hold the make-up removal cloth under warm water and place it on your closed eyes for a few minutes. As a result, the waxes contained in the mascara can be removed better and, above all, more easily from the eyelashes.

And another tip: This should be after three to five applications at the latest wander into the washing machine, the even after the first, but at the latest after the second treatment. the -Variant, on the other hand, can be used two to three times in a row before it has to be cleaned to a maximum of 40 degrees (like the other models).

Make-up eraser: further advantages at a glance

First and foremost is the environmental factor: you produce significantly less waste if you do without conventional cotton pads, which end up in the garbage after a single use. In second place is the cost factor: the reusable make-up cleanser saves you a lot of money in the long term for commercially available facial cleansers. The other advantages include the following two: 1. Due to its low weight and small size, the make-up eraser fits in every toiletry bag and 2. all three variants are hypoallergenic and therefore suitable for every skin type.
