A woman complains of ear pressure, a nasal spray against a cold does not help. The problem comes from a completely different corner.

At first nothing was unusual for the patient. She came to our ENT practice because she had felt pressure in the right ear for a few months. In addition, the ear was “closed” – you know the feeling of traveling on the plane or mountain hikes at a high level. It can also happen if an effusion in the middle ear has formed as a result of a cold.
We initially prescribed the patient, a woman in the forties, a decongestant nasal spray. But after a few weeks she went out again. The symptoms had not improved, on the contrary: the pressure in the ear had increased significantly, and when she snapped her nose, she heard a bubbling in her ear. She also had the impression of hearing worse in this ear than before.
