On Tuesday afternoon, an 83-year-old driver from Salzburg got on the wrong side of the road and collided with the car of a 37-year-old driver from the Braunau district. The 83-year-old drove his car in the municipality of Moosdorf, on the B156 Lamprechtshausener Bundesstraße, coming from Moosdorf in the direction of Lamprechtshausen. In the vehicle was a 61-year-old passenger from the Braunau district.
At the same time, a 37-year-old driver was driving on the B156 Lamprechtshausener Bundesstraße coming from Lamprechtshausen in the direction of Moosdorf. A 62-year-old was driving as a passenger. According to witnesses, the 83-year-old driver may have crossed the lane of oncoming traffic for reasons unknown.
After the collision, the 37-year-old’s car was thrown off the road and came to a stop on a green strip next to the road. All four occupants were injured in the accident. They were brought to the LKH Salzburg for further treatment by the Red Cross team and a rescue helicopter.
