Is there an animal abuser up to mischief in the Mühlviertel? A series of grisly finds in the districts of Freistadt and Urfahr environment suggests this assumption. Most recently, a person from the Mühlviertel noticed a plastic bag in which an animal was moving in a container at the Pregarten animal body recycling facility on Friday morning. When the 40-year-old opened the sack, he saw an unsavory sight: he saw the bloodied head and severed beak of a hen. The chicken was then put out of its misery.
As reported by the State Police Headquarters in Upper Austria, this was not the only find of this kind. Similar incidents have recently been reported in the communities of Alberndorf, Gallneukirchen and Unterweitersdorf.
