A man contacted the 69-year-old woman last Saturday, claiming to be from the CID/Interpol. He tells her that two armed perpetrators have been arrested and a note with their address has been found on them. After also inquiring about the woman’s financial circumstances, he indicated that he would send detectives to secure the cash.
However, the woman did not trust him and immediately reported to the police via emergency call. Employees of the Bad Vöslau Police Inspectorate carried out the first surveys. The official act was taken over by the State Criminal Police Office of Lower Austria, investigation area of fraud. hours later, on Sunday, at around 12:45 a.m., two men, a 36-year-old and a 40-year-old, both from Vienna, came to the victim’s address to collect the cash. But instead of money, there were handcuffs.
The 36-year-old showed himself partially, the 40-year-old did not confess. The two accused were taken to the prison by order of the public prosecutor’s office in Wiener Neustadt. The investigation into the backers continues.
