From the Rohrbach church tower you can see far into “Hoamatland”.

On the initiative of Berger Seniorenbund chairman Hermann Stallinger and Alois Sonnleitner, a dedicated city history guide, it was possible to inspire LH aD Josef Pühringer to take a tour of the church tower! The former governor knew a lot, but there was still something new to discover for him

Today, August 9th, it’s that time again, the Bohemian Forest holiday region and the Rohrbach-Berg museum initiative invite you to experience interesting insights into the district town’s past. Some traces of it can still be seen today and tell the story of the region and city. “Young and old” are invited, including families with children.

One of the highlights of the historical city tours is climbing the tower of Rohrbach’s parish church.

“We are always very pleased and positively surprised by the enthusiasm our historical walks through the city evoke,” all city guides agree. For some it is the historic buildings and their history, for others it is the stories about life in bygone times. For the chairman of the Rohrbach Seniors’ Association, Hermann Stallinger, climbing the tower was one of the highlights: “On the ascent to the Gangl, you really become aware of the centuries-old tradition of our town and the serious and difficult times our ancestors had to live with over the centuries.” The special tours take place today at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at a special price of 2.50 euros per participant. Registrations are possible under +43 5 78 90310.
