The FBI has executed a search warrant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The information was confirmed by the former President of the United States, reports bloomberg.
Trump’s statement said his property is currently “surrounded, attacked and occupied by a large number of FBI agents” who conducted searches without prior warning. “They even broke into the safe,” he says.
According to the newspaper New York Times, which cites two people familiar with the process as investigating material that will be taken to Florida after Trump leaves the White House. The material includes pages of classified documents.
The former US president was forced to return 15 boxes of requisitioned materials after he was threatened with legal action.
