The Upper Austrian Job Week, during which employer companies open their doors in all districts, will take place from March 20th to 25th, 2023. The aim of this unique initiative by the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce is to bring employers and job and training seekers together where it is important – at the future job or training position. “Every company, whether small or large, can present itself as an attractive employer,” says Franz Tauber, head of the WK Urfahr area. The Job Week celebrated its premiere in spring 2022. More than 6000 interested job and apprenticeship seekers paid a visit to the more than 1700 varied offers. The survey results show that a number of jobs have been filled. “Experience has shown that individual events are well attended and that quality wins over quantity,” says WKUU Chairwoman Sabine Lindorfer. In order for the initiative to be a complete success again, numerous findings and experiences from the first Upper Austrian Job Week will be incorporated into the next edition. Increased cooperation with schools and education fairs is planned. In addition, smaller companies are given even more support and group events are made possible. Several companies can invite to a joint event. There are no limits to the creativity of companies. It is important that the events suit the company.
