The lawn has been laid and the construction and installation work is progressing quickly. After intensive training sessions in the past week, the players can now look forward to a long, free weekend.
The next test is on Saturday against second division club SK Verwarts Steyr, who start the new training year today. The second league starts two weeks after the Bundesliga, in which LASK goes with two away games to have a little more time for the stadium work. The opening game of the second division is going to be in the Upper Austria derby against FC Blau-Weiss Linz on February 24th, which is also starting training again today. Incidentally, the derby will take place at the same time as the opening of the LASK stadium. The people of Linz are also contesting their first test of the year against a local Bundesliga team. On Saturday, SV Guntamatic Ried will be guesting behind closed doors in the Innviertel.
