Mentoring helps schoolgirls get started

The environmental technology company Scheuch, based in Aurolzmünster, takes part in the “Mentoring for HTL students” program, and Johanna Ridlmaier is currently being supported in entering the technical world of work.

Scheuch is providing Anja Rögl-Brunner, Business Process Analyst, as a mentor for 17-year-old student Johanna Ridlmaier from St. Johann am Walde. Rögl-Brunner was also a student at HTL Braunau in the mechatronics branch, as was Johanna Ridlmaier, who is in fourth grade.

The duo meet regularly at Scheuch, where it is about targeted insights into departments and working methods in various specialist areas. The young lady is cared for by her mentor for more than a year. In the summer, knowledge can be deepened with a two-month internship. “The participants can get a close-up picture of everyday working life in the technical field and build up an initial network,” says Rögl-Brunner.
