SK BMD Vorwarts Steyr got reinforcements in the goalkeeper position from Lask, who is third in the Bundesliga. The 20-year-old Nikolas Polster will join the Red and Whites as a cooperation player until the summer. He should compensate for the injury-related absences of Valerian Hüttner and Marvin Ravlija.
The cooperation with the Linz goalkeeping coach Reinhard Großalber has been initiated. He has cleverly used the still good contacts to his former club.
“Polster is a highly talented keeper and is not considered the Austrian goalkeeper talent for nothing,” says Jürgen Tröscher, sporting director of the SKV about the current U21 national team goalkeeper: “With the cooperation we can create a win-win-win situation: We receive immediately additional quality in a position that we wanted to strengthen, the player gets match practice at a high level and LASK creates a platform for him for the next development step.
Polster began his career at Rapid Vienna, has already played in three youth national teams (U17, U18, U21) and has been used in the current season in the regional league middle with the LASK amateurs.
