Yesterday, the Ebensee ADEG store run by the Nánási family stopped working as a postal partner.
Nánási stepped in after Post AG closed its branch in Ebensee in 2016. For the merchant, however, the postal business proved to be not very lucrative and also a burden. That’s why he announced a long time ago that he would end his collaboration with Swiss Post at the end of March. The Nánási couple is currently on vacation, and there was also a staff shortage due to illness, which is why postal work was stopped yesterday.
If you want to pick up deposited mail, you first have to cover the 18-kilometer route to Bad Ischl. In addition, the postal partner in Traunkirchen is available to the 7,500 residents of Ebenseer.
“Since Mr. Nánási announced his decision, I’ve been in constant contact with the post office and Ebensee tradespeople to find a solution,” says Ebensee Mayor Sabine Promberger (SPÖ). So far, however, she has not found anything.
