The well-known man from Raab drove his car in the municipality of Enzenkirchen from Ungernberg towards Enzenkirchen at around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. His bad luck: an oncoming police patrol recognized him, turned and drove after him. The 58-year-old no longer has a valid driver’s license, as it is called in official German.
The police tried to stop the man with blue lights and a follow-up horn. But the driver accelerated and tried to escape the police officers with breakneck maneuvers. The pursuit lasted more than five kilometers until the driver finally had to stop at an intersection for traffic reasons. One of the police officers was able to remove the ignition key from the fugitive and thus prevent him from continuing his journey.
When the driver was checked, clear signs of alcohol consumption were found, whereupon he was asked to take an alcohol test; he refused this. Officers also found a copy of a fake Polish driver’s license in the vehicle. The 58-year-old is shown.
