Two times gold, three times bronze – the result of the wrestling team from Leonding, supervised by Roland Heitzendorfer, at the national championships in Wels on Saturday is impressive.
The Leondinger veterans were in a class of their own in the general class in Greco-Roman style. In the weight class up to 72 kg, Damjan Bezjak showed all his skills and won the national championship title. Manuel Hackl did the same with impressive throwing techniques in the weight class up to 100 kg and won.
Alexander Grgic (weight class up to 68 kg) and Agansi Parham (up to 72 kg), the second players from Leonding, were able to stage themselves well in the free style, each taking third place and thus bronze. Finally, there was bronze in the team ranking.
