The Saline allows job seekers to gain practical experience

A cooperation between Salinen Austria AG and the Bildungszentrum Salzkammergut (BIS) enables job seekers in the Salzkammergut to be reintroduced to working life step by step.

Since the beginning of the year, some of the manually filled salt products for Salinen Austria AG have been manufactured in the new BIS “salt workshop”. Up to 15 employees fill and label micro-cans and buckets, stock counter displays for supermarkets, palletize the goods and clean used pallets. So far, this work has been taken over by various contract manufacturers. With the BIS cooperation, a regional and social solution has now been found in Ebensee. “Thanks to the cooperation, we can offer our employees attractive and practical jobs,” says BIS Managing Director Stefan Sifkovits.

People are also satisfied with the salt flats. “As the largest company in the region, we have a high level of social responsibility,” says Ariane Herzog, the initiator and managing director of the salt works. “I am pleased that the cooperation with the BIS is developing so positively.”
