The U18 national indoor championships took place in Linz last weekend. The athlete from the IGLA long life sports union, Julian Mesi, who comes from St. Thomas, was named “Silver Mesi”. He placed second in the 800m and 1500m.
“I should have won the 800m, but I have to admit that tactically I didn’t run well here. In the 1500m it was exactly the opposite. I let my opponent run and stayed with it when suddenly the , Post’ went off, and that’s how I fought for my second silver.”
The other athletes of the Sportunion were also successful. Agnes Danner finished 6th in the General Class with a best performance of the season. Marie Angerer surprisingly won bronze in the 400m in 60.12 seconds. She finished 5th in the 200m.
