Like a few others, Salzburg, who was in the lead after the first round, was thrown back by tricky conditions in the final on Saturday and had to settle for fourth place, 0.4 points behind bronze. As in 2021, the title went to Poland’s Piotr Zyla, who jumped from 13th place to gold with luck.
The other medals went to the Germans Andreas Wellinger and Karl Geiger. The second best Austrian was Jan Hörl in eighth. World Championship debutant Daniel Tschofenig finished 14th, Michael Hayböck was 15th.
