An 87-year-old died in Wels on Saturday afternoon after a bicycle crash. The man was discovered by a 35-year-old and her 32-year-old partner on the sidewalk next to the busy Salzburger Straße. The pensioner lay lifeless next to his bicycle, whereupon the couple immediately began resuscitation. The alarmed rescue workers took the man to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic, where he died a little later, the police reported.
