Dominik Hrinkow has managed a coup on the transfer market, as he announced at the traditional team presentation before the start of the cycling season in the Steyr town hall. The Italian Edward Ravasi (28) slips on the green jersey of Hrinkow Advarics in the squad of the Steyr racing team this year.

“Edward’s signing is a milestone in our team’s history,” Hrinkow said at the presentation. Ravasi is a former World Tour pro and spent two years with Team Lampre-Merida and four years with Team UAE Emirates. For the past two years he has competed for the Spanish pro team EOLO-Kometa, which Alberto Contador previously led to overall victory in the Tour de France in 2010 and the Giro d’Italia in 2011. The reference address is clouded only by the fact that Contador was later stripped of all titles due to a positive doping test, which happened well before Ravasi’s time with the Spaniards.

With Riccardo Verza, Hrinkow signed a second Italian, who is a newcomer alongside Stefan Kovar from Vienna and 26-year-old Johannes Rechenauer.

Successes over the past year give Hrinkow reason to look to the upcoming racing year with confidence. Rainer Kepplinger was honored by the city of Steyr as Vice State Champion in the individual time trial, Daniel Eichinger as Vice State Champion in the criterion and Marvin Hammerschmid as State Champion.
