The 29-year-old man has been jailed for two and a half years for attempted arson. He is said to have acted together with three accomplices. The Iraqi had also been accused of terrorism in a different context. There was an acquittal here.

According to the presiding judge, the accused’s normal lifestyle, “remaining in the experimental stage” and the longer duration of the proceedings had a mitigating effect on the sentencing. No circumstance was considered aggravating. There is a “closed chain of evidence”: “There is no other possibility – you were there with the other people.”
