As the Styrian state police announced on Tuesday, the man succumbed to his serious injuries in the Schwarzach hospital on Tuesday morning. A 31-year-old passenger died in the accident on Saturday evening.
The technical assessment of the accident wreck is still pending, the police said. A German coach with 32 passengers fell over an embankment near Schladming late on Saturday evening. In addition to the dead, there were other injuries on Saturday. The 51-year-old driver of the bus was in critical condition.
According to the police, the other bus occupants were questioned, but they do not want to communicate the results of this investigation at the moment. It is unclear whether the information will at all contribute to clarifying the cause of the accident.
Incidentally, the bus driver could no longer be asked before his death. He had to be put into artificial deep sleep immediately after the accident and never woke up again.
The authorities confirmed that some of the occupants in the bus actually belonged to a polter round and that the 31-year-old who was killed was the groom-to-be. However, there were other passengers on the bus who were not associated with this group.
