The perpetrator – it is said to be a 37-year-old from the Amstetten district – fled, but was arrested in his apartment in the early hours of the morning.
The victim and the alleged perpetrator knew each other, said a police spokeswoman for the APA. It is known so far that the perpetrator drove to the victim and a shot was fired. It is not yet possible to say whether this was preceded by a dispute. That would be the subject of the investigation. The alleged perpetrator is to be questioned on Sunday morning.
