At the time, the victim was walking in Haid on Haidlandweg.
One of the two perpetrators then hit the 41-year-old, hitting his head on the asphalt and briefly losing consciousness. Taking advantage of this situation, the two perpetrators robbed the man’s purse along with the cash and various ID cards.
Two witnesses who happened to be driving past the scene of the crime saw the incident and came to the victim’s aid. The two witnesses briefly followed the perpetrators in their car, who were fleeing on foot in the direction of the residential park, but gave up the pursuit after a short time and rushed to the victim’s aid.
The witnesses consequently set the chain of rescue in motion. An intensive search in the vicinity was negative. The victim was taken to a hospital in Linz by ambulance.

Perpetrator 1: approx. 1.70 m tall, black and white striped jacket, black masking (possibly a balaclava), unknown white pattern in the black headgear
Perpetrator 2: about 1.70 m tall, dressed all in black.
