Career starters, job seekers and those looking for a change should mark this date in red in their calendars: Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7th, the career forum will take place in the Palais Kaufmännischer Verein in Linz from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the job fair of the OÖ Nachrichten and the Salzburger Nachrichten is free.
A diverse program awaits visitors. On the one hand there are numerous companies presenting themselves as future employers and looking forward to discussions. On the other hand, there is the possibility to have your make-up and hair done in the “Styling Lounge” and have application photos taken by a professional photographer. The job market service checks the application documents.
In addition, four workshops with experts will take place throughout the morning: They will provide information on, among other things, “Dos & Don’ts in the application process”, “Apply individually, that’s how it works”, “How to do self-promotion” and “Confident appearance – factors for a strong personal impact”. The future of work
From 2 p.m. it’s time to set the stage for “Schlag.Zeilen” in the ballroom. The entertaining, informative format is about the future of work and “New Work”, “The five sweet secrets of success” and experience building blocks that help to reach your goal.
This year, the Career Forum Linz will again be flanked by numerous other services such as social media check, type advice and application photo – to name just a few. Top speakers and experts share their knowledge in lectures.
More than 30 companies and organizations are taking part in this year’s career forum, including the Austrian Armed Forces, Oberösterreichische Gesundheitsholding, voestalpine, XXXLutz, Linz AG, Porr, Wüstenrot, Plasser&Theurer, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, KPMG and B&R.
Introduce in two minutes
Some of these companies present their operations and the opportunities they offer in a “pitch”. In two minutes between 10:30 and 11 a.m., the companies explain their advantages as an employer, their areas of activity and open positions. This year the voestalpine, B&R, Primetals and the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce will be there.
