Climate Advisory Board recommends three new projects

The project “Carbon management in the forests of the city of Linz” aims to determine the current status of the city’s forests and subsequently calculate the potential for carbon sequestration. The proposed funding amount is 45,000 euros.

Focus on repairing

With a total of 82,532 euros, a special focus is to be placed on repairing and reusing through various offers during the WeFair trade fair. Cinema films are planned in the Moviemento, repair zones and shops during the fair, as well as lectures and workshops especially for schools.

The city’s own “Urban Ecological Implementation Program Linz” project, which aims to upgrade public and selected private areas in terms of quality of life and biodiversity, was also rated positively. You want to actively involve the public. The proposed amount of funding here is 137,883 euros. All three projects still have to be approved by the city senate.
