The second day of the trial is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the jury courtroom. As reported, the hearing was adjourned in June 2022 as further evidence had to be obtained. The presumption of innocence applies to the accused.
According to the indictment by the Ried public prosecutor’s office, he is said to have sent fake invoices and delivery notes to the company. However, he did not provide the agreed services. In the first trial, the accused brought up a bribe system for company employees. The man’s defense attorney only conceded damages of around 100,000 euros out of the 2.3 million euros charged. More witnesses are to be questioned today, and a verdict could also be reached.
