The professional fire brigade Linz had a lot to do together with the building management of the theater to secure, remove and seal the destroyed roof. In particular, it was necessary to protect the electrical systems in the stage tower. The tin roof was cut into parts and removed on Saturday, meanwhile a temporary solution has been set up using a protective tarpaulin. The rehearsals and performances can continue, said state theater spokesman Philip Brunnader on Saturday afternoon in the OÖN conversation.

As the state theater announced in a press release on Saturday morning, “the tin roof of the stage tower was crumpled up like tin foil,” says Thomas Königstorfer, commercial director of the state theater.

However, debris from the roof did not fall, so no one was injured in this incident either. No performances were planned for Saturday anyway. The broadcast said it was still being investigated whether the storm damage would affect the performance of the coming days.
