The police classify the incident as a “serious death” and have started investigations. The 28-year-old roommate was arrested. “He stated that the 26-year-old had consumed marijuana and LSD and jumped out of the window himself,” police spokesman Markus Dittrich told APA.
Witnesses watched the man fall from a window of a fourth-floor apartment near the Alserstrasse U-Bahn station. Immediately alerted rescue workers tried to revive the 26-year-old. However, all attempts at resuscitation failed.
The 28-year-old was arrested after questioning by the police. Third-party debt cannot be ruled out, it said.
The public prosecutor ordered an autopsy. In addition, evidence is still to be secured and witnesses and the accused have not been heard.
