With an updated offer, the Institute for Training and Employment Advice (IAB) in the Schärding district is working hard to bring jobseekers and employers into contact. On behalf of and in close cooperation with the Public Employment Service (AMS), the IAB and its counselors offer several services, including advice on training opportunities, application training and support in finding an internship or a job.
In the perspective check, the individual job market opportunities are clarified, individual strengths and interests are recorded in one-on-one meetings and goals are set together. On this basis, the search for suitable apprenticeships or jobs begins.
Also Women’s Career Center
In addition to the Jobfit application advice, the IAB in Schärding also offers advice and workshops on various topics as part of the FrauenBerufsZentrum (FBZ): Women learn more about a wide range of careers and find out about internships and job opportunities.
Career counseling is tailored to the needs and goals of each individual woman. Further training can also be taken up via the FBZ in order to improve career opportunities. Since autumn 2022, a “green jobs” program has been dedicated in particular to job descriptions and training opportunities in the field of sustainability. A separate information meeting is open to all interested women on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for free participation, regardless of whether they are already customers of the IAB or in consultation with the AMS. The aim is to be able to find out about and exchange information about work-related topics.
At the free FrauenProgrammierTreff, experience in the field of programming can be gained and digital skills expanded: It takes place every first and third Wednesday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. alternately online and on the premises of IAB Schärding.
