After a rather mild start to the week on Monday, it will remain changeable until Wednesday. In the second half of the week there will be significantly more sun and more pleasant temperatures across the country. “From Thursday there should be at least a few nice days in a row, with temperatures around 15 degrees,” says Alexander Ohms, meteorologist at Geosphere Austria. Today sunny sections alternate with clouds, over the lowlands this Monday there are areas of fog and high fog.
In the morning there will also be quite dense clouds, and some rain is to be expected for the Inn and Mühlviertel. The sun should prevail around noon. It is slightly föhnig, the maximum values are between 14 and 19 degrees. As early as Tuesday, clouds will predominate again, and it will rain at times, mainly in the southern parts of the country. Less rain falls towards the north, and longer dry phases are also expected in the afternoon. The particularly stormy weather of the weekend is history, but the wind freshened up again on Tuesday afternoon – with gusts of up to 60 km/h. Wednesday should also be relatively windy and uncomfortable. The morning will remain largely free of precipitation, but from midday denser clouds and showers will move through, the snowfall line will drop to 700 to 500 meters. A brisk westerly wind can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, with maximum values of eight degrees. Only in the evening does it loosen up away from the mountains.
On Thursday it will still be windy in places, but the temperatures will start to rise. “Tuesday and Wednesday are the low points of the week in terms of weather. It will be rather uncomfortable, windy, damp and cool. From Thursday it should be much more pleasant – with temperatures around 15 degrees on Friday and Saturday, possibly also on Sunday,” says meteorologist Ohms .
