“Car dealers can’t wait to talk to people again,” says Autofrühling President Michael Schmidt. “The showrooms are now often empty, customers are migrating to the Internet.” A motor show like Auto Spring is the best opportunity to get back into conversation with car enthusiasts. “I’ve seldom experienced such an emotional, extremely happy atmosphere in the car dealers of the car spring as now,” says Schmidt.

Linz switched to Ried

The BMW dealer is convinced that the 51st Linz Motor Show this weekend will be a success: “The motor show in Ried makes me feel positive!” The Innviertler exhibition was a huge success. Schmidt would be “overjoyed” with 12,000 to 15,000 visitors.

199 new cars from 37 brands can be seen this weekend in the Linz Design Center – 44 of them are pure electric cars (BEV). Like the BMW XM and the ID. Buzz from VW. Both models are the electrifying stars in Linz. On the one hand because of the new, sparkling and charming design, on the other hand because of the young, powerful technology. But visitors can also look forward to attractive innovations at the other stands. Of course, the combustion engines are still in the majority. “Not every type of drive fits all needs,” says Autospring spokesman Ernest Wipplinger. For some, an electric car is the better choice, for others a diesel.

OÖN are giving away a Nissan

In addition to the traditional car stands, other exhibitors also provide information on various topics. Like Club Mobil about conversions for the disabled or Keba, Linz AG and Energie AG about charging options (wall boxes) for at home.

A highlight of the car spring is at the OÖN stand: a brand new Nissan Qashqai e-Power will be raffled off here.
