The police operation began around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. A 33-year-old Romanian was advertised to determine his whereabouts. The Enns police knew in which apartment he was staying and wanted to check him. The two Romanians (33 and 46 years old) attracted attention for the first time because of their aggressive behavior. After some time, the officers were able to leave the scene, but that was just the beginning.
The 33-year-old was allowed to drive his car to the police station in Enns to clarify the situation with the location determination. However, the police officers stopped the 33-year-old driver, who does not have an Austrian driver’s license and was also unable to prove his Romanian driver’s license. He was forbidden to proceed. In the meantime, the 46-year-old continued to drive the car, but he displayed very conspicuous driving behavior. When he was stopped, clear symptoms of drug influence could be determined. The rapid drug test was positive, the man refused a medical examination – he is reported – the vehicle key and driver’s license were taken away. But that was not the end of it.
Riot in local
After midnight there was a dangerous threat in a bar in Enns. The two men attacked a 46-year-old guest with a hammer and drinking glasses and threatened to kill him. Another man in the bar (48) tore the hammer out of the man’s hand and called the police. The two Romanians left the restaurant, but barricaded the entrance to the restaurant so that the guests could no longer go outside. In front of the restaurant, the two men damaged a mailbox and a house number sign. The two were arrested and taken to the police station. And it still wasn’t over.
Cell devastated, police officers bitten
In the detention cell, the detainees scratched the walls with their rings, damaging them. Further investigations were carried out throughout Friday and the two men were questioned about the allegations. Because of the aggressive behavior of the 33-year-old, the officials notified a patrol from the SIG (Schnelle Interventionsgruppe) to support the transfer to the Linz prison. When he was putting the handcuffs on the completely aggressive arrested man, he bit an officer in the hand. And although the policeman was wearing gloves, he was injured. The two men were taken to the Garsten prison.
According to reports, the two men struck down a workshop owner in Vienna two weeks ago because he no longer issued a badge for their old BMW.
