On Friday morning, the 22-year-old left her accommodation in the center of Scharnstein to go hiking. When she did not return to the agreed meeting on Saturday, a notice of absence was filed and a large-scale search operation was launched.
The last contact may have been in the Laakirchen area. After evaluating the mobile phone location data, the area around Weikharting is currently being searched extensively by six fire brigades together with the police and rescue services. The communities of Kirchham and Vorchdorf are also part of the search area.
The young woman is 167 cm tall, wore a black jacket, a knitted wool cap and was generally dressed in dark. Anyone who has seen them or can provide information should contact the Gmunden police on 059133/4100-100.
