Swapping is very simple: simply take any leftover seed from home, fill it in a bag on the spot and label it – there is space on the corresponding label for information that is important for successful sowing. Other gardeners can take the stored seeds with them.
The campaign took place for the first time last year and around 400 bags have already changed hands. Exchanging not only saves valuable resources, but also the balcony and garden can look forward to more variety. The campaign runs in the Knowledge Tower and in the library locations in Dornach, Auwiesen and Pichling.
Plant exchange on April 21st
On April 21st, a plant exchange will take place in the Knowledge Tower as part of the Long Night of the BibliOÖtheken from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. as an extension to the seed exchange.
