Hunting weapons stolen – burglar arrested

Four long guns were found among the stolen goods, the Burgenland state police reported on Friday. A 48-year-old was arrested, a 27-year-old was reported and a 25-year-old is already in prison in Hungary.

The criminal group committed numerous burglaries in the three federal states last summer. They preferably visited hunting lodges, construction sites, outbuildings and cellar floors. Mostly tools were stolen, but also four long guns, which were later seized during a house search in Hungary. The weapons could be assigned to burglaries in Burgenland and Upper Austria. According to the police, the amount of damage is in the six-digit range.
