On Thursday evening in Bischofshofen (Pongau), the police stopped a driver who was very drunk with her two children and who had not secured them with a seat belt or child seat. The 32-year-old had almost 2.5 per thousand alcohol in the blood, the police reported on Friday.
The officers noticed the vehicle because a man was sitting in the front passenger seat, holding a child on his lap. They stopped the car and found that the child – the Hungarian driver’s three-year-old daughter – was not secured by a seat belt. In the back sat the nine-year-old son, who was also secured neither with a child seat nor with a seat belt.
Since they noticed the smell of alcohol on the driver, they asked the woman to take an alcohol test, which showed 2.48 per mille. The police officers prohibited the further journey. The 32-year-old is reported to the competent authority for the violations.
