Meanwhile, 31.3% said they neither agreed nor disagreed, while only 20.7% said they were against a national lithium company. The debate will take place in Congress, where the government does not have a majority.

Chile is one of the countries with the largest reserves of this mineral in the world. Among the components of the strategy is the creation of the National Lithium Company with 100% state ownership to take control of this industry that is experiencing an international price boom.
