The working world is characterized by permanent changes. Employees are required to keep their skills up to date. The Wifi Upper Austria of the Chamber of Commerce (WKOÖ) also takes these developments into account: Even before the printed version of the course book appears, the courses can be booked online from this week. This year’s motto is: “Stay curious”. The range of courses is diverse and geared towards the requirements of business. The focus is on practice-oriented knowledge that can be used directly in the workplace. Customers can book, for example, “Focus on companies – dealing with different cultures”, “Implement projects with the goals workshop”, “Successfully accompany management changes”, “Basic financial education and asset accumulation” or the course “Training for pharmaceutical commercial assistant”. The courses are offered in a mix of online and presence.
Steps on the career ladder
“Lifelong learning has become an essential prerequisite for mastering future challenges and therefore plays an important role both professionally and privately,” says WKOÖ President Doris Hummer.
According to Wifi curator Georg Spiegelfeld, there is an opportunity to gain new knowledge and subsequently take steps up the career ladder. Institute director Harald Wolfslehner refers to the possibility of speaking to educational advisors about required skills, funding opportunities and the like.
