This curious offer has probably never existed before: As the “WAZ” reports, Dortmund’s mayor Thomas Westphal wants to do the black and yellow arch-rival Schalke 04 a special honor in a win on Saturday at Bayern: The 56-year-old puts the royal blues in an entry Golden Book of the City of Dortmund in prospect.
The “Royal Blues” play at the record champions on Saturday afternoon. In the event of a Munich defeat or a draw, Borussia Dortmund could jump back to first place on Saturday evening with a win against Gladbach. “Then I’ll invite the current Schalke team to City Hall so that they can sign Dortmund’s Golden Book,” says Westphal.
Will this suggestion also please die-hard BVB fans? Some Dortmund supporters would probably even rather give up the championship than have the arch-rival’s team in the town hall.
