SV Ried sporting director Reifeltshammer: “Rough swear words were not used on the pitch”

The mood was extremely charged and heated after SV Guntamatic Ried’s 1-1 draw against WSG Tirol on Friday evening. The reason was a disallowed goal by Ried defender Tin Plavotic in the last minute of added time. After a long video study, referee Markus Hameter decided Markus Lackner was offside, a millimeter decision, as a Tyrolean player analyzed after the game in the Sky interview. It wasn’t the only questionable decision in this game. Ried goalkeeper Samuel Sahin-Radlinger hit Tirol striker Thomas Sabitzer in the 66th minute in the penalty area. Surprisingly, the VAR did not intervene here. “You have to see that,” said Tirol coach Thomas Silberberger after the match. There were also discussions about a yellow-red card not given for a Tyrolean.

After the game, however, it was all about the disallowed last-minute goal by the Innviertel team, who are now level on points with Altach (Vorarlberger play against Hartberg on Saturday evening, editor’s note.) be in last place. After the final whistle, Ried President Roland Daxl and the sporting directors Thomas Reicheltshammer and Wolfgang Fiala talked to referee Markus Hameter on the field, sometimes gesticulating wildly. Even stadium boss Leo Kiesenhofer was – not for the first time – right in the middle instead of just there.

The external microphones in the Innsbruck stadium could be heard on television insulting and insulting the referee. There is no doubt that these came from Ried sympathizers. “These words, which we absolutely do not approve of, not even in an exceptional emotional situation, I think came from the stands. Such coarse swear words were not used on the pitch, ”said Thomas Reifeltshammer on Saturday morning in an OÖN interview. After the game, he briefly went to the referee’s dressing room. “We discussed and then shook hands, after the game we spoke on the phone again,” says Reifeltshammer.

Aftermath for Ried President

Hameter reported SVR President Roland Daxl, which is noted in the match report. For Daxl, the behavior after the game will have consequences. The 48-year-old is on the supervisory board of the Bundesliga, a role model looks different. In the Sky interview, the referee said that certain requests to speak could not be tolerated. “Emotions are part of the game, but there are also limits somewhere,” says Hameter. “I’m emotional at times, but I’m certainly not a complete idiot. I neither insulted nor touched Mr. Hameter personally, I just expressed my opinion loudly,” says Daxl in a phone call to OÖN. According to Daxl, he told the referee that the decisions were “mad” and could have extreme economic effects in the relegation battle. When asked whether his behavior was clever, the SV Ried President replies: “At this moment it’s difficult to weigh up whether it’s clever or not. I’m committed to the club and wanted to protect the players and the coaching team. ”In the ad against him, according to Daxl, it says that he stormed the pitch. “I’m curious to see how the criminal senate sees it and whether a ‘space storm’ as an individual is even possible.”

For the team, however, the red card from Roko Jurisic is bitter. The left-back apparently insulted the assistant referee after the final whistle. “Jurisic apologized after the game. We hope that he will only receive one penalty for the duration of one game,” says Reifeltshammer. Assistant coach Michael Madl also received the yellow-red card.

After a short meeting in the morning, the team trained in the barracks. “Starting today, the game will be reworked factually and in terms of content. Certain things need an increase on Friday against Altach. Despite the emotional and for us bitter final phase against Tyrol we will go into the coming days with positive energy. The spectators can feel that there is an emotional team on the pitch that is giving their all in this tough relegation battle. We need a full stadium on Friday to be able to bring Altach to its knees,” said sporting director Reicheltshammer.

“The team gives 100 percent, the team spirit is fully intact. I think that will be appreciated by the spectators,” says President Daxl. Regardless of the outcome of the remaining three games, it is “very easy to imagine” that coach Senft will also go into the coming season, says Daxl.
