Around 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday in Langholzfeld (Pasching municipality), a car crashed into the guardrail – another vehicle collided. One person was slightly injured. The other person involved in the accident was able to leave the scene of the accident unharmed, according to the first reports.
However, a significant amount of oil escaped, which the fire brigade had to bind with oil binder to prevent environmental pollution.
In the course of the clean-up work, an employee of Linz AG Linien found that there was a car battery in the adjacent track bed. This was also removed to rule out any risk to rail traffic.
The exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the relevant authorities. The Hart fire brigade was on site with several emergency services.
