75 electric cars for Scheuch employees: “Accelerator for e-mobility”

The first 20 or so cars were recently handed over at the Priewasser car dealership in Ried. In the coming weeks, all electric cars of the brand “Cupra Born” to their new owners. “We want to act as an accelerator for e-mobility, because the mobility transition can only succeed together. Project as a team work

The project was initiated by several committed employees. Matthias Schmee, Elisa Hilpold and Aida Foric were responsible for the development and implementation of the entire, very complex project.

“We worked on the project for more than half a year before it was presented to the management”, say Schmee, Hilpold and Foric in the OÖN conversation. Great importance was attached to cooperation with regional companies such as the Priewasser car dealership or Pfeil Design. “In general, it’s a great feeling to be able to implement such a large project as a team. We placed the bulk order in December. It’s great that all the cars will be there by the end of May”, emphasizes the project team. The 33-year-old Schmee already has experience from the HR department. In 2019 he was responsible for a large apprenticeship project.

The equipment of all 75 cars is identical. The environmentally friendly electric cars can also be used for private trips, and family members can also use the car. “Scheuch makes a major contribution to the environment and sustainability with technologies for air pollution control. That is why we also want to make our contribution in the area of ​​electromobility. We have already converted the fleet of vehicles. The project group presented a really impressive and well thought-out project”, says Stefan Scheuch, CEO of the Scheuch Group, which employs more than 1,500 people in several branches worldwide. Another large order for electric cars is planned for autumn.

In June, the founding of the company 60 years ago – at that time with a handful of employees – is celebrated with a big party for the employees. There is reason to celebrate, not least because of the largest order in the company’s history. As reported, Scheuch has been awarded a major contract worth 70 million dollars in the recycling industry in the USA. “We are very satisfied with the order situation. Our business areas are booming and we are very well positioned in several areas”says CEO Stefan Scheuch and adds: “We are constantly looking for new employees because it is very important to us to have production in our own hands. We try to create a pleasant working environment and offer flexible working time models. Our employees are the most important asset for us.”

“Largest single order in company history”

The Rieder Autohaus Priewasser was founded more than 50 years ago. A lot has happened since then, but an order for 75 cars was also new territory for the siblings and managing directors Karin and Gerhard Priewasser. “For us, this was the largest single order in the company’s history. The Scheuch company and our car dealership are linked by decades of excellent cooperation. Of course we are pleased that we were selected as a regional dealer here!, say the two managing directors.

The process worked very well thanks to the committed employees. One major challenge with such a large order is the logistics. “On the other hand, every car must be handed over in the best possible way so that the respective owners are satisfied. For this reason, the cars are issued in tranches of 20 each!, says Gerhard Priewasser. “You can see how happy the employees were about the new Cupra Born.
