In an asylum accommodation in Wels, a 26-year-old injured a 19-year-old with a knife on the forearm. The two are said to have gotten into an argument beforehand, after which the older one probably first grabbed a metal rod and hit him.
However, the teenager was able to dodge. The Syrian then grabbed a kitchen knife, attacked the compatriot again and inflicted a cut on him, the police informed on Friday about the incident on Monday evening.
The injured and another asylum weaver were finally able to disarm the attacker. The suspect was arrested by the police and taken to the prison. The 19-year-old came to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic.
